Fakepost Week: Second Life Press Release

*BREAKING NEWS*

Realizing the critical importance of maintaining a business presence both in so-called reality and the wonderful virtual universe of Second Life, Bob's Taco Emporium of Fargo, North Dakota has opened a Bob's Virtual Taco Emporium in Second Life.

"This is just another shining example of the expanding corporate presence in Second Life," stated some Linden. "The business world has embraced the mind blowing opportunities we have to offer. This is a wonderful, better world. And there's nothing weird or, er, perverse going on here, seriously. Don't look over there...that's nothing. Seriously. Linden dollars."

Bob's Taco Emporium will launch today, having been designed by Analog Sheep. There people will be able to purchase virtual tacos for their meta-eating pleasure.

"Think of it as Tacos 2.0," said Bob of Bob's Taco Emporium. "We're breaking down barriers. With extra salsa."

Lot's of people play Second Life. But play is not really the right word because it's more than a game. Linden Research. Linden dollars.

I cannot believe those bastards just SET UP SHOP right next to my goat farm! We're a pillar in this community, and suddenly we have no say of who should and should not be able to build where?!

This plot of land on mine is smack-dab in the middle of an agricultural zoned area! And they just build a Taco Bob without even consulting the residents in the area!? This is madness! We, the Virtual Farmers of Second Life, are not going to take it anymore! We're going to do everything in our power to get all the Taco Bobs of Second Life out of our damn lives once and for all! We might appear as country bumpkins in Second Life, but our true selves are a force to be reckoned with!

For Freedom!

As a vegan consumer (currently only in SL), I hereby postulate the stop of sale of any virtual meal or good, for which virtual animals have been harmed or for which products, which would contain animal products or byproducts, have been created. Yes.

Act now! Stop virtual abuse of animals!

There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith.
